A million voices for nature

Lisburn Group at the Belfast RSPB Reserve Observation Room
Welcome to the Lisburn Group  Website

The Lisburn Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Local Group supports the RSPB in carrying out the Society’s objectives in the Lisburn Borough area. Those objectives include; Promoting the conservation of wild birds and their habitats, informing and involving the RSPB’s members in conservation issues, developing policies and practical actions to protect important wildlife habitats and working with central and local government to create and implement solutions to conservation problems.

We are always pleased to welcome new members to our local group and it is preferred but not necessary to be a member of the RSPB itself to join our group. We exist to support the RSPB and to enjoy and learn about wildlife, especially birds in the Lisburn City area and throughout  Northern Ireland.

SEE OUR MEMBERSHIP PAGE FOR DETAILS

See our calendar for details of indoor events and field trips. Everyone is welcome to our meetings where you will hear interesting talks from a variety of speakers on many different aspects of birds and wildlife at home and abroad. There is always a cup of tea and a chance to mingle and make friends at the end of each meeting.

Read our fieldtrip reports in the News Letters page and find out where to watch birds and enjoy our beautiful countryside.
